The major advertisers on television are Geico, Progressive, Allstate and State Farm. None of those carriers are primarily HIGH RISK carriers.
And if you go with a smaller carrier - be prepared to get smaller service when you have an accident, a question, or you're looking for other policies.
Those that have State Farm, stay with them. Those that don't, you owe it to yourself to contact a local agent and compare rates - and the services and products that they provide.
If what you want is cheap, cheap is what you're going to get. |

MANY of these insurance companies on TV are "HIGH-RISK' carriers, that is , they exist mainly to sell insurance to drivers who either had previous accidents (and can't get insurance anywhere else ) or young drivers under the age of 25. You may get a lower rate from the insurance company that insures your home, since they usually give a lower rate plus a 10% discount for multiple policies. You'd be surprised how smaller, lesser-known companies give better rates. And remember ,any company that spends millions of BUCKS a day on TV ads can't possibly give you much of a savings. Someone's gotta pay for those ads !!! |
