Yes, you can cancel your life insurance policy at any time.
However, depending on your state laws and the terms of the life insurance policy, you may only get your money back during the first 10 to 30 days.
Otherwise, You can cancel the policy after this time period and usually get a pro-rata refund of your premiums paid for the policy.
Basically, a life insurance policy comes with a "Free Look" Period. The company should have advised you that you have 10, or 20 or 30 days after buying the policy to return it to the company and get a full refund of any premiums paid.
If you have only had the policy for 3 days, you should be able to get a full refund of the premiums you have paid. Make sure to contact the company and ask exactly what they want you to do to get your refund. Also, it should be stated in the terms and conditions of the policy - under "Cancellation".
I hope that helps. |

Check your state laws; they differ on the kinds of transactions that are covered by the three-day rule. |

As the policyholder, you may cancel the policy at any time. You would get back part of your last premium and any cash value accrued.
If it is a new policy, you have a period of time to review it and get back ALL of your premium. It depends on your state laws. |

You can cancel at any time.
The more important question might be "can you get any of your money back?" |

You have been given a pamphlet/paper about your right to cancel. Most policies come with a 30-day-right-to-review. As long as you notify the company in writing that you want to cancel the policy you should be fine. If not, talk to your state's insurance commissioner. |
