Insurance companies do not "pay off" plaintiff's attorneys. However, most insurance companies do have staff counsel which are salaried employees. I assume that you were not happy with a recent settlement. Sounds as if your attorney was not competent or you simply had unrealistic expectations. |

There may be some that do, doesn't seem legal to me. A lawyer gets a % of the settlement, they have every interest to get as much as possible because it means more money for them too. |

NO. They actually get a cut of the payout, so it's in THEIR best interest, to get the highest payout they possibly can. |
