As noted by others, there is no requirement that you need a degree before getting the CPCU designation. In fact much of the work that goes into getting the designation can transfer over to credit towards a degree.
But most insurance companies are looking for a degree or relevant work experience before hiring.
If you were able to get your CPCU first, this might open up some doors to getting a position with an insurance company. But you might want to look for relevant work experience as well to make your resume look good. |

There is no college requirement to become a CPCU, you just need to pass 8 tests. To be hired as an underwriter though, most companies require at least a bachelors degree. |

You don't need a degree to be a CPCU. However, most insurers won't hire an applicant for the position of underwriter without at least a B.A. |

No college degree is needed for either. However, you do need experience in the insurance industry to understand enough to do either. |

I suggest you work on getting a degree, since employers expect it. perhaps the school will accept some of the CPCU courses. |

Not required, but would be helpful. |

You do not need a college degree to become a CPCU but you do have to pass all the tests in order to get the designation. I don't think there are any companies that would hire an underwriter without a college degree. |

Not a degree, but I think you have to be certified or something or trained. I know someone who is an underwriter and had to take some courses. |
