Depends on what the issue is. If it is settling & cracking, no, if it is water seepage, no. If it is damaged in a fire then yes.
Read your policy it will tell you. The standard ISO homeowners policy does not specifically exclude foundations, just certain things that can happen that are excluded on the policy. |

If your refering settlement of the foundation or something to the effect of a sinkhole you need to contact your company. The worse they can do ios deny your claim, or have your agent refer to your polciy. Every policy is different, it depends on the company |

I would say probably no, but you need to talk to your agent, I would avoid buying a home with a bad foundation, unless the foundation problem was caused by a storm or an earthquake or flooding, then that cause may be covered by your policy if you have that coverage in your policy, sometimes those causes are excluded though, that is why you need to ask your agent, it will vary from policy to policy |

The foundation is EXCLUDED on the typical homeowners policy.
If your policy has a special enhancement, such as mine subsidence coverage, and the foundation problem is due to mine subsidence, then it might be covered. |
