It's going to depend on what state you are in, and the reason you cancel.
In most states, if you cancel because your car is totalled and you aren't replacing it, yes. Otherwise, no -it's a short rate cancellation. |

It depends how you pay your premiums. If you pay every 6 months or 3 months you get a refund. If you pay monthly it depends on your on an automatic withdrawal or being billed though the mail.
