I saw a question on here where a lady chose to lay off an Obama supporter, Single mom, who was offered insurance at 40 dollars a week, and refused to take it. But, she found the money for a "boob job". I guess what I really want to know, do you think there are a lot of people out there that just don't want spend that money on health insurance and are fine with letting the "people" pick up their tab for health care? There definitely are people who refuse to pay for health care when they can afford it.
I hear people say things like "Well I never get sick" or "I take good care of myself".
It's so stupid because if they get into a car accident or get cancer guess who has to pay their bills??? The taxpayers and the doctors who have to write off their medical bills!
People can be so selfish! |

I know for a fact that there are lot's of people who voluntarily go without insurance. The problem with universal insurance is it punishes everyone, and restricts my options.

Absolutely there are poeple out there who can afford it but don't take it. They use the system. They go to the free clinics. They know that all facilities have to write off a certain about of bad debt each year, and figure...why not theirs. Universal Health Insurance will not address the problem, all that will do is convince good doctors that they can make more money elsewhere and they will give up practicing. |

We have an entire population of people who entered the country illegally, send billions of dollars back to their countries of origin, who refuse to purchase health insurance because they get health care for free. Those are the people who already have universal health care at the expense of the American taxpayer. |
