looks like you'll have to take out some kind of Business Insurance.
Quite reasonable compared to Home Insurance. |

Call Fast Eddies Insurance on Whiteford Blvd in S. Jersey. He is a bit expensive but he will insure anything. Make sure you make your payments on time!! |

If your business belongs to a relatively short list of what most of insurance companies like (tiny day care, accounting, etc.) then you can go to farmers, Allstate, etc.
If not those guys, then you need commercial insurance on the top of your home owner's policy. General Liability could be as cheap as $350 a year for $1 mln coverage. To get one you need to talk to an insurance broker (not a captive agent of Farmers and such) who specializes in commercial insurance. They know how to handle that.
Best of luck!!!! |

Depends on what kind of work you're doing, and how intense the homeowners exposure is. Many will let you run a low hazard company; none will cover videographer's equipment.
If you have the business policy that covers the business liability and camera/lighting equipment, it shouldn't be a big deal with a homeowners carrier.
If you want THEM to cover the business liability and equipment, it's not going to happen. As you know, the average professional equipment package usually runs about $150,000, and is generally considered high theft (although most of the time the thieves have NO clue what to do with it). |
