I'm sick of the cavemen, never liked the celebrity ones with Little Richard, etc. but for some reason I kind of like the ones with the gecko. All that said I haven't budged one inch on my car insurance company. |

The very first caveman one was kind of funny, but it's long since gotten old. Same for the gecko. I like the one with "the guy that does movie trailers". That was funny... he was on Leno a couple nights ago, too. Oh, some of the "I've got great news..." ones were pretty funny.
But we haven't changed our car insurance, either. |

I hate the cavemen ones! They're stupid. I like the ones with the little gecko dude. He's cute, and I like his accent. But I think the whole point of the commercials is to entertain and make you talk about them, just like we are. |

The "Geico" is the figure head of this Auto insurance market . He is a Geico...and the marketing idea is draw attention to the public by using him in funny or should I say none related skit's.
He talks of how easy it is and low keyed it is to secure a quote. Also mentioning the structure and service of the company.
It is a popular commercial indeed as Geico Ins has grown considerably by putting their name out.
To answer your question.....Some of them I can't understand do to the dialect....and I don't really care for them since I am an Independent agent and Geico is competition. |

Well, the gecko was used for sometime so that people would remember the commercials. The caveman is used the same way. I agree the commercials sometimes make no sense, but it is what you remember the most " it's so easy even a caveman can do it.." this referring to the geico.com website. That is how easy it actually is. I think marketing needs some new ideas though! |
