If I knew what state you lived in I could help more. Check your state's website for Dept. of Insurance. They list the carriers available in your state. Some will offer Individual coverage. They also provide the rates on line. You can also apply on line. Sorry, without knowing the state that's all I can give you. |

you aren't doing yourself any favors if you purchase health insurance without a personal visit from an agent. In fact, in Florida, whenever I write an application I have to sign certifying that I have personally observed the patients and that they have answered the questions in person. Some companies will sell it anyway, but I assure you they will build in some sort of "safety net" for themselves, such as an extended contestability period. I would advise you to seek out comparitive rates online, for sure to get some ballpark idea. But, do yourself a favor and seek out an agent whom you know personally, and let them know exactly what you want. If they are worth doing business with, you shouldn't have any problem with them. |

The least expensive one is the one with the least coverage and the highest deductible. There isn't much "competition". If you're looking for maternity benefits, you're not going to get them on an individual policy, without an 18 month wait before they kick in.
If she's 30 and healthy, it's GOING to cost $300 a month for a good, low deductible plan.
With health insurance, you really do get what you pay for. There aren't any "bargains". Start with the agent that does the rest of your insurance. |

Most plans cover annual physicals, gynecological exams, office visits, urgent care, and medication with a low co-pay, the deductible does not need to be met first. Maternity will not be covered most likely. |
