You can't get a proof of insurance without actually having insurance. The proof of insurance card has details about your vehicle on the card, like make/model and VIN#. If you're thinking you can just put someone else's in your vehicle....you can't. I would take the bus until you've saves up enough money to pay for it. Uninsured drivers make the rest of our insurance premiums skyrocket every year becuase they can NEVER afford the damages the cause when they wreck.

You won't be able to get a fake one as each company has codes that DMV knows about on their forms.
As for not being able to afford it, if you call one of the bigger local offices like State Farm, Geico, or Progressive and tell themyou have an awful record and could they reccommend someone in the area who may be able to help you.. they probably will. Usually most companies have another company in mind if they can't offer someone insurance because of their record and those smaller companies are actually cheaper because they are only for people with bad driving records.. They don't punish you for having bad records, they promote good driving.. Weird, but it's cheaper.
