NO! It does NOT affect your credit score to look for insurance.....do not worry about that one.
So, I recommend getting multiple quotes - the more the merrier. Why not pit them all against each other for a change.......................
A guy I ran into at my doctor's office yesterday gave me a flier for insurance and the rate was much lower than what I am paying today. Like about $250/year less.
I got like multiple quotes and they tell you the lowest company out of them all. Three of them were lower than mine. Best is that the company itself doesn't sell the insurance; they just give you the info on who is the best price, so you know it is real. I would never use the numbers from a company that actually sells the insurance themselves, as I really don't trust their numbers are reality (I am a skeptic, if you haven't noticed).
Some of the quotes you get are from:
Progressive
Esurance
The Hartford
Safeco Insurance
Travelers… and some others.
You have to enter the code he gave me (he obviously gets some sort of credit for it. I tried to do this without the code and they wouldn't let me....said that since they don't advertise anywhere this was the only way they operate - they said the insurance was not going to be any higher going through this guy than if I could have gotten around him). If you knew someone else that sold this insurance I suppose you could ask them for their code so they would get the credit. The funny thing is the guy doesn't ever deal with you, just gets the credit I guess.
Or you can call their number at 877-855-8111and give them the info:
i don't think so as i got a quote the other day off privilege and on the pre recording before you get through it says it does not effect you credit rating

No insurance companies do regular searches on you and they are called unrecorded enquirers and show on your credit report but don't count for or against you
