I've never seen a homeowners policy pay this, although I've seen lots of CLAIMS denied for this.
Sorry, the only time there is any kind of coverage, it's when the line is UNDER the house, and then it only pays to dig through the basement floor - not for the pipe itself.
This is a normal maintenance kinda thing, and you're on your own. Good luck. |

sorry but usually it doesn't ... =( it usually only covers the sewer and drains inside or directly under the house .... the homeowner usually pays for that particular repair .. I don't know where you live but in Alabama they can cut off your water untill you get the problem fixed if you let it go for too long ... It's harsh but it happens more than you would think .... It's their way of forcing you to get it taken care of ... Goodluck ! |

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I had a similar situation years ago, and it was my responsibility. It wasn't even covered by the water and sewer company. I had water running down my driveway into the street. And the water company said I had a leak underground and that it was my responsibility to hire someone to come dig up my driveway and find the leak, otherwise the water and sewer company was going to start charging me for the wasted water. I pray your homeowners does cover your problem. Good Luck. |
