Did she have collision coverage on it?

If she had collision coverage on her car, yes, it will pay for her car, even though she was driving drunk.

kaycee
not if they know she was drinking

lol....No. It doesn't even matter if you're underage or not, you're drunk and driving.

Her insurance won't pay for her stupidity.

Most have exclusions for this, however liabilty caused to a third party would generally br covered.

Google Man
Yes, It will cover as per policy but.... Rates will be going up...Not only for claim but if a DWI is involved much higher. Have your friend call her agent and a lawyer if necessary if they don't cover per terms of policy.

Insuranceman
Typically, this would be covered.

Most policies state that won't pay if the vehicle is involved in illegal activity - normally means robbing a bank or liquor store and wreck while making your get-away, or running from the police and wreck out.

The company will pay for damages to other party and to damages on the auto (if the policy had Collision coverage.)

It would then be up to the company as to whether or not they would renew coverage and at what rate it would charge for the accident AND the DWI.

Tell your friend to drive more RESPONSIBLY and next time, take a cab!

There are exclusions mentioned on your contract and one of them clearly mentioned that they will support people who breaks the law. Completely No.
