they left my package at my door which is in an apartment building. I was not home at the time and they supposedly left it there and i did not find it there. I don't know what to do and i called Fed Ex and they said I would have to wait until Tuesday to call and then an investigation would be carried out to find out what happened. I ordered an mp3 ( a Zen 30GB) and Im so upset, obviously...help me out someone..what if they don't find it or dont want to pay for it???? |

What is up with these delivery companies? UPS does the exact same thing! They leave packages on my doorstep and I'm like "What if someone walks by and steals the packages?" I don't know why they do that, maybe to save gas and mileage on their trucks?? You would think that in the post 9-11 world, that delivery companies would be smart by not leaving boxes or packages on the steps..
Anyway, if the package is lost, they will give you a refund. If not, you can file a consumer complaint with your state. (do a google search: [your state] consumer affairs) |

I work for a shipping company and our answer is this we deliver to an address and not the person, unless stated. For people shipping with us there are many options available to secure the package. The shipper can have the option for a DSR (direct signature required) and that way we cannot leave the package unless we have a direct signature from a person in the household. This is all stated on the back of the form you fill out when you ship it. This is why there is insurance as well automatically 100 dollars with the option to add extra ins for more expensive objects need less to say this is the fault of the shipper not the reciever and you will more than likely be refunded either buy Fed Ex or the Shipper. |

i had the same thing happen at my house and it was a navigator for my truck. they refunded my money and sent me a new one but i had to personally go pick it up. |

If it was shipped Fed Ex then there was insurance on it and you will be refunded. They have to. They shouldn't be leaving the package if no one is home, but i know from experience they are bad about doing it. I had the samething happen to me but it was phones and I recieved a FULL refund. Good luck! |
