Forging a doctors note. switching insurance, wondering if i can make one up and fool my boss?
I have a lot of sick time and soon i will be uninsured because i'm going to switch with a new insurance co. so for 6 month i wont be able to go to the dotors. and right now i have a lot of sick time that i want to get rid of. i had a problem with my boss she was saying that i need a dotors note to use my sick time which i dont have and i'm only taking 1 day off.
i'm wondering if its hand writen or its a computer copy. i'm going to put down my number on insted of the dotors just in case they call, and act like him. i know its funny.
but if you have one that you like to share just block out the info that you dont want to show. but anyways... thank you very much and please help me

Tell her you were puking which did not require a trip to the doctor. That will likely work better.

Do you really think that your employer won't notice that you and the doctor have the same phone number?

Not to mention that if your boss is suspicious about you at all (which it sounds like she must be, if she's insisting on you having a doctor's note to use a sick day), it would be relatively easy for her to bust you. All she needs to do is check the name/address/phone to see whether or not the doctor is legit.

Not a good idea. You think your boss won't see that your doctor's number and yours are the same? It would be grounds for termination. Don't undertstand why your new insurance wouldn't cover you. It should be considered continuous if it's through the same employer...

What you are doing is called the F word, Fraud. If you carry out this silly scheme you run the chance of getting in some serious trouble. Forging a doctors name is a felony offense, so you want to make sure you look good in orange jump suits.

There's so many problems with this idea that I don't even know where to start!

Doctors' notes are written on one of three things - a preprinted blank that is then stamped by the office, their letterhead, or a prescription blank. (And if you're in possession of the last one, that's a felony punishable by prison time.) Either way, they're all stamped with the official office stamp with their address and phone number. NEVER is that info handwritten.

Putting your phone number on it is also stupid. Unless your boss is a complete idiot, they'll either notice that the phone number on there looks strangely familar, or when it lands in your HR file, they'll see that fact.

I'm going to go with the idea that you're just asking for a problem. And that it probably wasn't the best idea to post this on here...
