Likely you can't. There's no central database.
But if she hasn't made yearly payments on it, it's cancelled anyway.
Ask her to go through her checkbook, or ask her bank for the old cancelled checks for the past 5-10 years, to see the name of the insurance company she had been paying. If she hasn't been paying, it's likely not active.
MOST of the policies bought on babies, are through Gerber. It's the most expensive way to buy the least amount of coverage, and most parents stop paying - meaning, let the policy lapse, after a couple years. So you COULD always call Gerber and ask. |

Contact the customer care department and have them do a search under your name and social security number, you would then need to complete a lost policy form if there was a record of a policy in force.. |

Talk to your mom and find out what company sold her the policy. Once you have the company's name, call them and they will be able to look for it.
Other than that, its going to be very difficult since Life insurance records are private. |

Contact your agent, if you take policy with agent, try to find any policy premium receipt, call the policy company, asked your mother how she paid policy premium, if direct throw bank then your bank also have policy number, if paid by cheque the try to figer put which branch the cheque issue for premium. |
