That would be, Medicaid. Welfare insurance. You'll have to apply for it though the medicaid office of your state of residence. |

I lived in Brandon for 20 years. There's no free insurance if you're 18+. Taxes in Florida are a lot less than in NY so you won't get as many freebies from the state.
If you're a student at USF, go here http://shsweb.shs.usf.edu/ins/Insurance.html to find out about their student insurance. It will cost you about $100 a month.
If you're at HCC, you'll need to check with the guidance counselors to see if they have something available. I don't think they do.
Your only other option is to get a job that offers benefits and work while you get your degree. |

I've never heard of 'free health insurance', other than through Medicaid. Some cities have programs at low or no cost covering CHILDREN, but none that I know of for adults. |
