HELP! I just got a no insurance ticket and I have to prove I had insurance today but I didn't! Any advice?!
I am a very poor college student and I just got a ticket to go to court to prove I had insurance today. Does anyone know how I can trick the system and get insurance that says I had it yesterday or something? I got a no insurance ticket two years ago but I think it's off my record does anyone know how this works in illinois? Please I will take any advice!
Moving from a simple ticket to Insurance Fraud probably isn't going to help your poor college student situation. I don't think any insurance company is going to want to participate in something that they could later be liable for. Your best bet is just to ask for leniency and make sure that you drive with insurance in the future.

Sorry, no way to trick the system. No one is going to backdate a policy for you.
That ticket from two years ago, is NOT off your record.
My biggest recommendation is to buy a policy TODAY, online or something, or tomorrow. Pay the fine, or if you have to go to court, plead stupidity.
But don't be surprised if your license gets yanked, or if you're going to be required to have an SR-22.

Depending on the state you live in; penalties for driving without insurance can be harsh. In my state of Arizona, if you are caught driving without insurance the fine is up to $900.00 and your license and registration are suspended until you get insurance and pay for six months in advance. My advice to you is simple; get insurance and don't drive without it EVER. The cost of insurance may seem high, but it is nothing compared to the potential costs of not having it. What if you caused an accident and seriously injured or killed someone? Without insurance what would you do? There is no limit to how much someone would sue you for if you killed a loved one or disabled them. Being a poor student is all the more reason to have insurance.

Get someone elses insurance card, scan it and paste your name over theirs with the appropriate dates. If you have photoshop, even better. Print out on regular paper and take it to your court date. Plead not guilty, and they will assign you another court date to come back. Then show up on that court date with the paper and they will just look at it and let you go. Just tell them that you did not have it wit you at the time. It is completely failproof.
