I have filed a claim with homeowners insurance regaurding the items stolen out of my car when it got broken into. i sent in all the prove of ownership and it was recieved by my agent one week ago. how long till i get a check in the mail. i thought they had a deadline or something. |

gee why don't u call them and ask, we don't even know what insurance co. it is how could we possibly say. it won't b next week i'd safely say more than likely 8 to 10 weeks.at least. |

Depends on when the agent mailed it to the adjusting office, the complexity and cost of the claim. Call and follow up would work best. Just ask for a status, and if they need anything helps. Working with them moves things along faster than being a pain. |

No deadline. Stay on top of them. Just cause it has been sent to your agent doesn't mean that he sent it to the insurance company. Good LUCK! |

when they stretch it out 90 days, you can get the state insurance commission to listen why you do not have your claim check yet, not until. And I can assure you, the bigger the claim, the slower.
If it is $200 to $300 you'll get it fast, maybe next week. |

Nothing written in stone. If the agent got it say, 10-17-06, they probably mailed it off to the company by 10-20-06, which means the company should be receiving it any day now. You should hear from the adjuster by the end of this week, I'd think, via phone. Then they should put a letter in the mail confirming the conversation.
I really hope the items stolen weren't cds! Most of the time the homeowners policy has extremely limited coverage of these, if they cover them at all! |
