i have emailed 4 people now about cancileing my account and no one has emailed me back i am now paying contents cover for a house that i do not live in any more this is rediculus.
i emailed asking some one to email back or phone but noone did i got emailed and asked for my details twice so that the account could be canceled and i gave it to them 2 mounths ago and 2 payments have been withdrawn since then.
is there some one i can contact who can dael with this i have contacted elephant agian but i doubt that anything will be done. i am in scotland if that helps

cancel your direct debit yourself then they will contact you to see why.Hope this helps |

The other answers say cancel your DD however this may be a breach of contract and will make cover more expensive in the future. Check your policy documents see what they say they will have a contact number on them. Phoning is the best way. and of course make a complaint. When your complaint isn't dealt with contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) (they deal with all unresolved complains with within the finance sector). They will help you to resolve the complaint and can make a ruling which the company has to stick to, like give you all the money back you didn't want to pay. |

Send a written letter, recorded deliver. Cancel your payments asap then if they complain they can go to hell. They will have to have signed for the letter so they must have got it and you will have proof of sending it. Make a few phone calls tell them you are cancelling it too.
Check your small print make sure there are no loop holes. |

Try checking your policy and looking for the customer service phone number. Talk to a person and get their name. |

look on your policy and call the number on it. talk to a person/agent who wrote it -cancel it effective the day you want. if you can prove that you requested cancellation on a certain date and you had confirmation, they will owe you a refund. get the confirmation of cancellation with who you speak with |
