What have you been deemed uninsurable for? You might want to check with United American Health Insurance. I am an agent for them in Kentucky. United American is known for being able to insure people that other companies have deemed "uninsurable." Otherwise, check with your department of insurance to see if Georgia offers a high risk insurance. I've put a link to both United American and the Georgia Department of Insurance below. Good luck!! Ask about a COBRA plan. They are expensive, but are meant to cover situations like this with a break in insurance from one job to another, among other things. |

Ok, I can completely relate to your situation. I was a server and had no type of insurance. I was diagnosed with chronic tonsilitis. I went to the doctor maybe once a month and needed antibiotics all the time. Which got expensive. The state would not help me so I was on my own. I found this company that is not insurance but a discount program. So they accept all pre exsisting conditions. They have really affordable plans to choose from.

There is usually one hospital in a city that takes patients of low income (they get a huge discount or it's free). Also, medicaid is an option (have you applied). Also, with such poor health have you ever thought about applying for disability? Remember to list EVERYTHING that is wrong with you if you do apply, not just the worse thing. Why? Because they have what is called a "cummulative effect" and when the illnesses mount up, then your chances are better of receiving aid. BTW sorry to read you are soooooo sick. |
