Insurance is a way to manage your risk against financial loss.
Health insurance will help you pay for medical expenses, surgery, hospital visits, prescription drugs, doctor visits, etc. In other words, medical expenses are very very high.
Life insurance will provide income to your family in case you die. In other words, it will protect your income when you die, but any savings attached to the plan will be kept by the insurance company. (So buy term insurance instead). |

If you don't buy health insurance, you're probably going to need the life insurance (or your family will) to help buy your headstone. Have you checked the prices of prescriptions lately? Unless you're from Canada, I would say the health insurance first. |

I strongly recommend buying an health insurance first as we never know when we will need to go for surgery due to an unforeseen and unsuspected medical illness. Do include a rider that will help to pay the full sum of the hospital bill. Cheers. |
