My son does NOT have a SSN which is required to apply online ( only needed when applying online) We need to get insurance as soon as because he cannot get equipment without it. No, no, no! That is not a good idea and they will find out its not him right away. If you do not have a SS# for him or if he is not a citizen of the US, you will need to apply for a tax id # or SS# via the IRS. The health insurance company or the IRS should be able to tell you what form you will need and how to resolve the problem regardless of your situation. |

It will not take but a second of your time in the middle of the month to go get him his SS number. By giving your is FALSE information. If he's hurt and they use that False info against you.. trust me, the bill will be bigger than $130.00 a year. |

Are you in the United States? If so, it doesn't make sense that your son doesn't have a SSN. That's REQUIRED in order for you to claim him on your income taxes! And if by some fluke he really doesn't have a SSN, you need to apply for one and get that taken care of right away! If he's old enough to be playing football, he's definitely old enough that he'll need a SSN very soon. |

No, you need to get him one. Yours will show UP as yours. And you do NOT want your medical records getting mixed up with his.
You need one anyway, to claim him on your taxes. |
