Try Squaremouth. Its a comparison site that has filters and sort options. The UK site is at:

http://www.squaremouth.co.uk

The company is also based in Florida and has a US site (priced in US$) at:

http://www.squaremouth.com

I am not answering the question just advising you not to take the advice given earlier.
dont go to the post office or tesco.
The online insurance companies give you better cover at far cheaper rates ie in some cases 75% cheaper

Making me jelous now, wish I was going to Florida, not been in years :( he he. HAve you tried someone like moneysupermarket.com? They have a travel insurance comparison page I've used it before along with the car insurance page really useful. Just remember when your looking not to go for the cheapest you see, make sure it's got all the features and protection you need :)

It's probably best if you go to the travelsupermarket.com website. You have to be extra careful when selecting a policy as you're going to the USA and medical care is very expensive there (much more so than in EU countries) so you need to make sure the coverage is sufficient.

welcome news
If you contact Portwood's on 01207 509446 they can give you a good deal - the working son will have to be classified as an adult but they can arrange for the two university students to be counted as children provided they live with the parents. Rates may depend on if you are over or under 50.

The premium depends on whether you need baggage cover or not and the length of the trip and if there are any medical conditions but the cover for everyone other than the 24 year old is about £70.55 (an annual policy as well!) and the 24 year old is just under £40.00 (two weeks)
