The problem is that Pit Bull bite claims are always severe and expensive, especially when they bite kids. There is no such thing an inexpensive Pit Bull bite claim. They are ugly. I have seen too many little kids get bitten in the face.
YOU might be able to take a piece of meat away from him, but if somebody else tries it the results might be drastically different.

Chances are not good for finding insurance with that breed of dog. Regardless of how gentle YOUR pitbull is, the insurer isn't going to take your word for it. Far too many claims have been paid out for homeowners with pitbulls and rottweilers. That's why the insurers refuse to cover them. There ARE a few companies who will write insurance for you, but with a complete exclusion for any issues which arise from your dog. If the dog causes any damage, you are uninsured for that activity. |

Foremost insurance will write a homeowners policy on you, if your dog has never bitten anyone, with a dog bite exclusion on it - that means, they won't cover dog bites.
I don't know of any other company that will do a dog bite exclusion, and I don't know of any other company that will write a homeowners on someone with a pitt bull. |

It is going to be extremely difficult. Most insurers will not insure you if you own a pitbull. Some will not insure you if you own a rottweiler or german shephard either. If you find one that does, your premium will be higher because your dog is much more of a liability. Even though he does not show aggressiveness to you, pitbulls are very unpredictable and can turn at the drop of a hat that is why they are seen as such a liability to home insurance companies. |

I dont know...I know Our insu company Doesnt insure anyone with Pits... that is just a policy but you can check around and see I'm sure that there has to be a company make sure the city you live in allows them ( no ordiances_) |

hey its a little hard ive gone though this before so i went out and got her trained all the way until i could get her the Canine Good Citizin award they get a special tag for it and everything and it helped me out a lot out rates wherent as high as most people said it would be. she got a little bored of the classes since she knew it all already but she had to go through them before she could take the test for CGC. petco/petsmart should have some info on it |
