How Do I Find If My Dad Is Covered For Braces?
I want braces but i don't know if my dad is covered. My dad is a truck mechanic & i want to know if he's covered for braces but i don't want to ask him. so is there any way i can found out if he's covered by calling someone from his work? & if there is, who would have that information?
Most insurance plans do not cover braces. I hate to say it, but it may be something you have to live with until you are an adult and can pay to get braces yourself then.

Don't go around and making phone calls to your Dads' employer. It's amazing how fast things can get screwed up beyond all recognition for asking a simple question. You'll have to ask your Dad to find out for you. Don't be surprised if his insurance won't cover things like braces. That could be considered as a cosmetic treatment and many insurers don't provide coverage for that. Don't get angry about it since many countries with universal health care don't provide such coverage either. Germany and France won't even cover dentures.

He can tell you if he has dental coverage. Braces aren't usually covered for more than HALF the cost, though.
YOUR DAD can call the number on the back of his card to see if there is dental.

The customer service phone number is usually on the back of the insurance card. You'll need the contract or ID number when you make the inquiry. Also there is likely to be a web site also, which you may be able to look up the benefits.

I didn't know that braces and insurance were connected.
But a phonebook would probably have that kinda information.
But do note, even with insurance you will probably need to show how commited you are to having braces. There not as easy as they look.
