Its irritating rememberable, and lodges sheilas wheels in your head.
Its also so annoying its widely discussed by people, on yahoo answers for example :-)

It's succeeded in getting you to talk about it though, which is the real message of any advertisement.
Same reason that Barry Scott shouts about Cillit Bang. You may hate the ad, but you still remember it. |

very! remember they had a comp for 'you and your sheilas to star in the next advert'? if you took their insurance. I can't believe all the people in the ads won a comp to be there.... if they asked me I'd have said "bugger off ya drongo I just wanted cheap insurance!" |

it is extremely annoying, so you can imagine my pain when i used to work for them and you'd get ppl phoning in to ask where they can buy the bloody song, so they'd wait to get through for 20 mins just to ask that! then they'd complain if you put them on hold and it wasnt the ad music that they were listening to!!
Its sheer madness.
and the Sheilas in the ad arent even Australia, there english pretending to be austrailian!!

Yes very annoying however it's not illegal to advertise for women only but would be if it advertised for men only.
This mainly comes about because all the bloody loud mouth Sheila's complain about anything that may benefit a bloke!!!! |

I like the way that the advert is banging on about women being safer drivers, yet the car in the advert is a) illegally overloaded; b) Going backwards (reversing); and c) with the woman driving taking her hands off the wheel to dance along to that bloody song!
