Information that I won a lottery and that prize money was insured on my name by taking an insurance bond (Copy also sent to me by e-mail) from an insurance company in south africa by that lottery company till remittance to my overseas bank account. Now they are asking me to pay an insurance fee to get release of that bond and also saying that my prize money will be remitted to my account as soon as they receive that insurance fee from me. In that bpnd copy, it was mentioned that insurance company underwritten that bond in complaince with the Reserve Bank of South Africa policy on International funds transfer. How I can get the corect details to confirm the genuinity of this matter so as to enable me to send that insurance fee as they are asking. Kindly give me proper direction and contact details with whom I have to communicate to get my prize amount to my account. |

just about every minute, a sucker is born. and i see one in the making here.
listen up... south africa is a nice place to visit. not to receive money from. specially when they tell you that you have to pay up a small fee to get a huge amount... that's part of a well-known series of scams, called 419, nigerian 419 and so on. it's just like a begging email you receive from mr? mariam abacha and gang, saying that they have old unclaimed funds that need to be claimed by none other than you.
ask yourself these questions:
01. why have you been singled out for this bit of sudden luck? if you don't know, you aren't the recipient. they are... of your so-called insurance fee money.
02. have you ever participated in this lottery that you've "won"? if not, how can you receive a prize? if you haven't participated in something and still "won" something, it's obviously a fake.
take care out there, dude... the 'net's a vast, dirty place out, and careful navigation alone will help.
ofc, it's probably good that you've posted this question on this group (like so many other good ones out there on the big, bad network), so you'll probably be able to take benefit from viewers' experiences.
my single-line advise: don't do it. |
