We are a family of 4 and my two kids dont qulifiy for Chips, or medicaid. Is there any advice anyone can give? My kids are little. 1 and 7.

You go to a local, independent agent to get quotes. If you ONLY want to insure the kids, you can get a decent plan for about $300 a month for two kids. If you want a family policy, it's going to run about $1,000 a month.
You sit down with an agent, and go over what you can afford, and what coverages you want, and then find something that you can live with, from both a coverage and affordability point of view.

There is another program that your children should qualify first. It depends which state you live in. You may want to call your pediatrician to find out what program is supported where you live. Good Luck! What a country we live in that workign people have to worry about their health insurance. It doesnt' happen in other countries. |

For your kids I know in California there is a program called Healthy Families they might even be other places, it is very good and affordable, less than $10/month per kid |
