When I added my details to this question before, I guess I didn't explain it very clearly. I am a blind person, and I live here with my mom. I am a legal adult, and I would now like to get my check switched over to my name so I can have the money to move out of state. I also need to get it switched over to another state. How do I do this, and can I fill out the necessary forms online? Any other additional help is greatly appreciated! Thanks again in advance! |

You can't. Social security isn't transferrable. Sorry.
See, if it's YOURS, and you're getting it because you are a surviving minor, it goes to your guardian to pay for your upkeep, which means, you can't move out of state without running away. And if you're NOT a minor, you're not eligible for it any more. |
