What would you do if you are hit by an uninsured driver and he/she totaled your car and/or you became injured or even disabled? Also you fail to realize that you can lose your savings and even have your wages garnished for the rest of your life if the claim is big enough. If you are under age 18, your parents can be sued for your accident and lose their home, life savings and/or have their wages garnished until the claim is paid.
I once had a former client come in and ask me what he could do because he had let his insurance lapse several months before and he was just hit by someone who was uninsured who totaled his vehicle. He got upset with me when I told him absolutely nothing! Mind you he could have gone to small claims court but if the judge find out he was also uninsured he would have probably thrown the whole case out.
If you can't afford $200 a month, do you think you can afford a wage garnishment of $200, $300 or $400 a month for 30 years?
Also in most states driving without insurance can result in a significant penalty and they can also then require that you file a mandatory SR-22 filing (proof of financial responsibility) for three years or suspend your driver's license. If you think your insurance is expensive now, the cost of insurance with an SR-22 is anywhere from 10 to 50% higher! In addition if you are found to be driving with a fraudulent insurance identification card, you can be charged with fraud which can result in a criminal conviction.
Driving is a privilege--not a right--and it carries certain responsibilities. Also the difference between a mature person and someone who is irresponsible is the willingness to confront problems and seek viable alternatives not just a way to get around things!
I would suggest that you re-think your solution and use your creativity and imagination to come up with a better solution!
Good Luck |

If you are driving a car....then you need to get insurance. That is fraud...if something happened to your vehicle..or somebody else's on school property...you and the school would get into trouble...If you are in an accident....regardless who's fault it is....if you don't have any ins. it is automatically your fault, and you can be sued. |

illegally... is the only way you can get away with it.

Not a question I would normally answer because it's so dumb. You are looking to get yourself in some deep doo if you pursue this. Do you think fake insurance cards are being marketed somewhere? And if they were do yu think they are free? Hope you smarten up. |

You just type one up.
It doesn't matter, because the cops will KNOW it's fake - they call your plate in, and the DMV gets notice 3X a week of cancelled policies, so they'll know that you don't have insurance in place.
If you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the car. Sell the car, and get a bike, or a motorcycle.
"Getting around things" is called, committing fraud. Lying. Cheating. Stealing, sometimes. It's flat out dishonest. If you are at all religious, whatever religion it is, I'm sure that violates it. If you don't believe in religions, it will STILL come back and bite you in the rear. That's how life works. Nice people don't do it, bad people get screwed over when they try to play the system, and then whine all over the place at how they got screwed over, when THEY STARTED IT. |

Here's the thing. If you are in an accident and you show the police the insurance card... they will probably take it at face value and won't give you a ticket or tow your vehicle. But if you are at fault for the accident that causes someone else damage or injuries and that person or his/her attorney/ or insurance agent calls the carrier on your card and finds out that there was no liability coverage on the vehicle you were driving, you would be entirely responsible for the costs of reimbursing or paying for the damages and injury claims that you caused. Claims like this can get really expensive. Especially if someone were seriously injured or killed. If you are a minor living at home, your parents would be on the hook for reimbursing all the damages you caused. If the claim is bad enough their assets, including their home, could be taken. Is that a risk you want to take? I hear young people say all the time..."I won't get into any accidents." I've handled insurance claims for 27 years. I cant tell you how many times my young insured drivers who have just gotten into an accident have told me that they never thought they would get into an accident. Just food for thought. One more thing...Bankruptcy will not get you out of a liability lien. Think it over...OK? |

I hope you won't get suspended. They may further check your card. Ask a friend that got theirs checked. Ask if they looked at the card hard or not. They may just take a glance, or study it. Good luck! And don't get suspended! |
