LIA deals specifically with life insurance only. Most LIA do not require a fee for quotation and consultation.
FPB deals with investments and many financial solutions. Most FPB require a fee for consultation. |

Or, just drive down the steet in your home town and search for an insurance agency. |

Dependent on what kind of agent you are needing, that's the type you should look for. I'd go on www.smartpages.com to search for the type of agent you are looking for. You also want to keep in mind when you are talking to agents looking for quotes, what type of coverage they are offering and what is covered or not for your needs. Lots of people think that just because one company is chaeper they are getting off on that, when in reality a company giving you a lower quote may not be providing you with the same coverage or needs that pertain to you. So I would make sure I note everything down and keep a pen and paper ready.
