rbque923 | How can i get someone to pay me for my medical bill they caused? |
Guy sent me to the hospital and i have no insurance. He initially said he would pay for it but now says he wont. Is there anyway I can threaten him or get him to pay up? |

It depends on how he sent you to the hospital. If it was involving a vehicle, you can file a claim against his auto policy. If he negligently hurt you, or you tripped on his property, you can file a claim against his homeowners/renters insurance. (If he has an insurance.)
If he harmed you on purpose, then insurance doesn't cover. You can take him to small claims court and try to prove he caused your injuries and that you didn't contribute to this. However, even if you win your case, you still have to collect from him. And that is harder than winning a small claim case. |

small claims court is easy to sue somebody in.
you pay like $20 and they send the person a copy of the lawsuit, saying show up and defend yourself or else.
often just filing is enough to get a person to cough up the money. |

sue him IF you can prove he did it. |

SUE SUE SUE...well it depends on the amount of $$$ and the damage they caused to you. |

well if he really is at fault then I would have to agree that you need to take it up in court. Don't warn him either! Give him one last chance to pay and then do what you gotta do! Thats life
I hope you win...he should have never agreed to pay for it..and then back down on his word. TAKE HIM TO COURT!!! |

Yep, sue him.
If you don't sue him and win, he has no obligation to pay. |

I'll agree with everyone on this. If applicable file a claim with insurance company. (assuming it was a car accident)
If you were hurt on their property, file a claim with that insurance company.
If it was like a bar fight..... best course of action.... SUE!
1 thing. Even if you sue and win.... all you have is a judgement, not actual money. Then you have to try collect that judgement.... thats a whole nother story.
Hopefully he has some sort of liability coverage that will pay..... |
