How can make HMO, health insurance better?

papayosha
I think that the answer is socialized healthcare. Too much money is wasted in the current American healthcare system. Not only do we pay about twice as much as other western countries, but the quality of care is also inferior.

I love my HMO. It costs me $15 to go to doctor. I have never had any problems with referrals. I go to the doctors I have always gone to.

Medical coverage like they have in Canada scares me. I have heard that it can take a long time to get the care that you need. I like immediate care on my schedule.

I stated 20 years ago when HMO's were first introduced that it was a bad idea. Ditch HMO's altogether. Let us go back to indemnity and focus on tort reform.

What does "better" mean? Is it more coverage? More ease of use? Or cheaper premiums??

Have the people working for them take over our conditions. Let them feel what we do, maybe they would have more of a clue of what they are doing....
