You go down to the county records office. It's public records. The purchase price and seller and buyer's names are on record there. |

You have to wait until the sale is closed and the deed recorded by the city or county in which the transaction occured. Sometimes this can be a matter of days and sometimes it can take months.
Then go to the jurisdiction's website and click on the link to real estate tax assessments. The information you want is a matter of public record. If the data is not online in your area, you can go to the local courthouse and look it up. |

That is public information. Go to your county clerk/treasurers office and ask. |

if you know what county the house is located in, you can check the County Tax Assessor's Office. They won't always have accurate information (usually less than what was actually paid, not more). They can also tell you how to search the grant/deeds to see who sold it and who has legal title. Most tax assessor's offices in the US provide computerized indexes providing all the information you're looking for. The County Recorder's Office usually maintains physical records of the deeds and also have computers that tie in to tax assessor's information. Either Officer should do. At a minimum, you will need to know either where the property is located, so that you can look up the property on the tax assessor's maps and get it's parcel number, or, the names of the people who purchased or sold the property. Knowing when the transfer was made also speeds up your search. |

Go to the webpage for your village/town/city, see if they have a site for the assessor. Many have searchable databases that give owner and last price paid along with assessment. |

Usually on the Internet you can search under your state or jurisdictions property tax records it will show the name of the current owner, when they purchased it and the price that that they paid and further a description of the lot and improvement (building) on the lot including the square footage, etc. Sometimes not all the information is available if the sale was many years ago for example.
Good Luck |

After the closing - you can search the county's tax records. Some counties have it on the web. Do a google search for the county tax assessor's office. If it's a small county you may have to go to the court house records room and search the books. |

go on line and pull up the property appraiser records for your county. They are on line in almost every county and it will show when a house was last bought and sold and how much it was sold for. You could also go online to your local business newspaper and search for the name of the buyer and find it that way or if there was a mortgage and you go to your secretary of state site, you will find the mortgage recorded as a lien and it usually says how much was financed. |
