It is possible. You would have to be a minor at the time the policy was taken out by your parents or grandparents, there could be a judgment that requires life insurance on you (ie. to cover child support), you could have a contractual relationship that would leave the other party out to dry if you died.
In the last two examples, the policy is not reported to the MIB, but you couldn't be insured for more than your value alive. In the first example, your parents or grandparents own the policy, so you can chill or check with the MIB. |

You have to sign off on any insurance policy covering you, so unless someone forges your name, you will know. |

It may depend on your age and state. If your a minor only a family member like grandparents or parents can take insurance on you.
If your an adult no one can take life insurance on you without your knowledge and you have to sign forms for that. If anyone does that without your permission it is illegal.
Insurance agents are suppose to make sure they know who is taking about insurance on who and why. That is to prevent anyone from committing a crime. Someone who takes life insurance out on someone else has to have what we call " an insurable interest" in you. If you believe someone has done this you can contact the Dept. of Insurance in your state.
Again, if your an adult no one can take life insurance out on you without your knowledge. |

No, it's not possible. It only happens in the movies.
If you're asking, is there a database or something where you can look it up, the answer is no.
If you're hellbent on determining that there is no life insurance policy out on you, you can pay $75 to MIB, and they will give you a list of any companies that have received an application on your life, in the past ten years. BUT, they'll only tell you, so they'll need to verify your identity first. Search the old questions about this, for the link to them. Someone asks this at least once a week, and the link has been posted hundreds of times to yahoo answers insurance. |
