Everybody else gave you information about how to get a quote, but don't listen to people who tell you that you don't need life insurance if you don't have dependents...this is not true at all. You at least need some to cover your funeral expenses. The average funeral is around $8,000-$10,000. Plus, it's a great idea to buy life insurance while you're young for a couple of reasons. First, it's really inexpensive. You can lock in the price while you're young and healthy and you'll be saving money for the rest of the term of insurance or your whole life. Second, it's good to lock it in while you're healthy. If you buy life insurance now while you're healthy and you develop some sort of illness or terminal disease 5 years from now, they can't take the insurance away from you or raise your rates (unless your term ends).
You have no idea how many people I see in their 30's or 40's who didn't buy insurance when they were young and can't buy any now. They thought they didn't need it because they didn't have any dependents. Now they have spouses and kids and a home. A lot of them got cancer or high blood pressure or other odd ilnesses at a pretty young age and now nobody will write life insurance on them. They're just out of luck.
Even if you don't have dependents, it's a good idea to lock in some life insurance while you're young just in case. According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 49 women get cancer before the age of 40. If you've had cancer...no life insurance company will touch you.
It's responsible of you to even consider life insurance, continue to be responsible and get some quotes. |

Living with your parents doesnt have anything to do with life insurance. If you want life insurance and are in good health you should be able to either get a quote online or go to most any insurance agency and buy some. It's cheaper when you're younger and a good idea to have some even just to cover funeral expenses!
Life insurance is a sum of money that is paid to your beneficiary (someone you choose) upon your death. |

Well, you can take an insurance policy out on yourself or someone else. The rate depends on a few things, age health and the type of policy. My husband and I took a policy out on him that is just a 20 yr term policy. We pay around $20 per month for 20yrs and at the end of the term it's just done. Or you can do one that costs a bit more but you get what you pay into it and then some. Generally, you want insurance if someone is not going to be able to make it without you or you want them to be taken care of. If you are young and single with no children then you probably don't need it. If you are providing for someone, or helping your parents out then maybe it is a good idea. We only took one out on my husband because I couldn't provide like he does if he were not here. We only did enough so that I could pay off the house and there would be a little extra. |

Why do you think you need it? If you have no dependents, you don't need life insurance. |
