26 weeks is the limit then you might be allowed to apply for an extension for another 16 weeks but that's it.Good Luck |

Usually they give you 6 months but then after that you can ask for more time and they can increase it by another 6 months. So it's usually about a year. |

as long as you can milk it for...most of the time you can get an extension if you enroll in school and can continue to collect while you are in school. This may vary from state to state but just go down to the office and find out if there are ways to extend it while furthering your education or if there are any circumstances for which you may qualify for an extension. Also it depends on how much you have paid in for the year or I believe the look at the previous three quarters to determine length and amount. I have collected for 6 months before and 3 months later because I didn't have enough time on that job before being laid off. |
