i dont know but i just consulted a lawyer about mine and he said there is no law about how long they can take to investigate...at least in my state..may want to check your state laws.

Depends upon whether it is disputed or denied. A friend of mine had a valid claim where his employer (A local Council) admitted liability, but only part liability, and it dragged on for 6 years! in the end the £60,000 payout his Lawyers estimated he would get finally became under 8 grand.

if you are claiming compensation of a company and thay admit liability then it could be over in 6 months if thay say thay are not liable then any thing up to 3 years
