you can open only one a/c but in each bank u can have one. in how many banks you are having that is no matter. provided you have to sumit all the details to Income tax with out fail or otherwise u will be at risk.
In India private bank services are good at present.
to have more a/c then choose the bank which are givig zero balance A/c, Atm facility, Near by ur location. etc |

One Bank only one account. in one name While opening an account, you have to give your PAN details, along with address proof. First of all Banker themselves do not allow you to open multiple account. Whether it may be a Nationalised or Co Operative Bank.
Selecting a Bank is depend upon various factor. First one, it should be near to your place, good service, For Business people, they opt for a Bank which extend over draft facility, a salaried person, has to open his account where his salary will be credited, directly by the Company. Many people prefers a Bank which is open on Sundays also. Choice is yours according to your necessity's.
Now many people do not go to bank to with draw money, where is amount is less than 20,000. They prefer an ATM, since ATM card will be issued by Bank free of cost, with no additional fee. Verify the nearest ATM also (same bank). I feel SBI is good, as they have maximum number of ATMs all over India. and service is also good.. |
