What KIND of insurance? Is it interior only, or exterior? Do you use scaffolding, or go more than 5 stories?
Workers comp is going to run you about 17% of payroll.
GL is going to vary wildly, starting at $1500 if you're doing ground level exterior, no ladders or scaffolding, and interior. |

It will depend on your location. The insurance companies keep track of claims for each type of business and charge according to risk.
My business insurance for a gift shop is only about $300 a year because its not considered a high risk business.
Check in your state for a few companies and get quotes.
If you are self employed and working by yourself you should look into short term disability insurance as well, so that if for example you fall off a ladder and break a leg, you will still cover your expenses. |
