How much do you pay monthly for your benefits plan through your workplace?
I am just deciding whether to sign up for mine. But I don't totally understand the details. I would really appreciate if you could tell me who you work for, and what your plan is like (briefly). For example, is it Long Term Disability, Life insurance, %80 co pay on drugs and vision care, or %100 coverage. Also please tell me how much you pay for it each month.

Thanks so much
Additional Details
I should also add that I am in Canada, so although I appreciate answers from Americans, it probably doesn't apply to me as much. Thanks!

The most important question here is in two parts: (1) what are provider's current AND anticipated claims and (2) can provider SHOW you compelling (authoritative) evidence that they are able to meet those obligations? Be very, very wary at this point. My own jaundiced view from the front lines of disability claims is that insurance/health benefits are the next coming meltdown. It's simply not worth your while to enrich ins. provider if it's already maxed out as GM and the B.C. nurses union seem to be. Consider the benefits that are most valuable to you. Might it be more cost-effective to self'/privately insure? Oh Wise One
My company pays 100% of my coverage (monthly premiums). However I have a $30 co-pay if I go and visit a doctor and a $15 co-pay for any prescription that is prescribed. If I elect to have medical procedures done that are not covered in the plan I'm required to pay 30% of the total bill.
