My husband and I pay about that much for 2 cars with full coverage, rental reimbursement, and towing privileges. I have an 03 Saturn L200 and he has an 02 Grand Prix sedan. However, we're military so we get great rates on everything. Insurance rates definitely depend on age, driving record, and the area you live in. If I were you, I would stick with that rate. It actually sounds pretty good for a civilian. |

There are a lot of factors. How old are you, where do you live, what is your driving record like. The Hyundai is pretty average as far as pricing goes on insurance. I've seen $50 a month, and have seen $300+ a month. Shop around, fiddle with your deductilbes, adjust your annual mileage (most insurance companies have cut offs at like 7500 miles) to a lower number (should this be truthful or not). Driving course may help, and are cheap, but most states do not recognize them til you are 55 yrs old. |
