Well, this is open to debate... The U.S. is about the only industrialized nation where health insurance costs anything out of pocket. Most other advanced nations have implemented universal health insurance a long time ago, so in those countries health insurance per se is free (i.e., the cost of it is paid by the government out of tax revenues)...
On a more practical note, your insurance premium will depend on whether you want an HMO or a PPO, as well as on the deductible you choose. The lower the deductible, the higher the premium. |

Actually, because you're young. Major Medical coverage shouldn't be too bad...$200-$300 per month. If you need prescription coverage, grab your socks. $1000 per month is not uncommon. |

I am insurance specialist for the place I work. Our employer pays around 150.00 and employee cost is anywhere from 110.00 to 179.00 depending on which insurance they choose ( if it is for employee only) Hope this helps! |
