Not stupid at all. The Life insurance test is very hard. about 30 to 40% pass at a time. When I took it, only 2 people passed out of 20.
It is a VERY boring subject. I am sure you will pass next time, now that you know what to expect. |

If you tried your best, studied and failed - you shouldn't feel stupid - try again - see it you can retake the test.
If you didn't study or prepare then you should feel really dumb. |

A lot of these exams can be mighty tough. I've got several securities licenses and life and health licenses so I know how hard they can be.
A lot of people fail them. I know a manager at Ameriprise says that of the people they sponsor for exams (both security and insurance), they only expect 30% to pass them all!
If you don't have software or a book full of test exams, you may find it helpful to get one. Software is best. It really helps to keep testing yourself and once you are doing well on the practice exams, you'll feel a lot more confident when you retake the test.
You need to remain confident because any doubt can make the retake exam actually harder!
1% is not big deal. Study some more and you'll ace it next time! |

I just took some classes for that and I have to take that test very soon. 1% is nothing, it just means your sure of passing it next time. Just remember follow your intuition, dont change any answers at the last min. Good Luck, youre sure to get it this time. |

I did the same thing on my life exam...its not a big deal. I failed by one point went back and passed the next time. Tests can be nerve racking especially when there is a career on the line! |

You certainly are not stupid, just need to study a little harder. I was licensed in 10 states. Needless to say, you have to study hard- it is not an easy exam. I would say FL is the hardest followed by Texas. My question to you is how bad do you want it and how hard are you willing to study? You have to understand the principles behind what you are reading to determine the correct answers. You must be able to apply your knowledge vs. just recalling a canned answer. =) Good luck! |

Don't feel stupid at all. You came within 1% of passing it on the first try. When you take the test again you will have a better understanding of the insurance business. |

Failure is Failure. You're really in the same boat as the moron who completely bombed it. It's all about what you do from here to make youself NOT a failure. |

I wouldn't think you should feel stupid at all. My daughter took the one in Kansas last year, and it was very hard. She trained for it with a bunch of new co-workers, then they quizzed each other. The ones who took it first and passed came back and helped quiz the others, even though the test was different each day. That helped her pass. Study and try again. |

I think the person who marked is an idiot. Why would they fail someone by 1%? Thats bad unless the test is out of 10 or 20 questions only. |

I failed the same exam by 2%. I immediately retake it 4 days later and passed by 8%. lol. So don't feel stupid, get revenge and take it again! |

You shouldn't feel stupid at all. Statistically, most people fail the test by much more than that the first two times they take the exam. There's a lot of information on that test! Good luck for your next try! |

You should feel no worse than if you missed your shot at a charging shark because you did not make preparations.
Oh, excuse me you only missed by one percent. I think charging sharks take that into account. But maybe you learned the old lesson.
Get it right the first time. Just feel lucky it was a test and not real life. |

you shouldn't feel stupid at all, the majority of people who take the test do not pass the first time. The test is not made to be passed easily. The purpose is to make sure that the person who passes the test KNOWS what he or she is selling and that because of that, can evaluate what the client needs. That's why you are required to take the continuing ed classes, so you can always provide the insured with the insurance they need and let them know if changes need to be made in their coverage. |

I don't think that you should feel stupid at all. I used to work for a pre-licensing insurance school. I can tell you that those tests aren't easy! There would be several students that would come back to the classes before taking the State exam. Then again, we ran a 100% guarantee...if you didn't pass, you could retake the class, within one year, for FREE!! |

You are covering 3 areas and the laws and application of this business. Even though it is frustrating, you did well. Take a deep breath, and retake it or take different sections if you are able. Good Luck. |
