If you know exactly what you want, there are any number of websites that will do comparison shopping for you.
However, I recommend you contact an insurance broker; they have access to numerous companies, and can help you determine what kinds and amounts of insurance that fit your personal situation. |

1) Ring up insurance firm
2) Buy insurance.
3) Make cup of tea. |

Its important to meet with a local insurance agent to review your coverages and determine what you really need. Here is a tool to find a local agent by zip code - http://www.findlocalinsurance.com |

Well, you can phone up a broker and get a quote or you can get one online in seconds - whichever works best for you.
You can find loads of insurance companies online here:

Depends on the type of insurance. It is best to go to a high street broker. Check the policy terms and then search an on line broker. If they don't publish their terms on the net then ring and check that their policy terms cover you. Make sure its a well known company. Don't buy the most expensive or the cheapest - you may find the later will wriggle out of settling any claims and you may find their renewals will be jacked up to compensate for any first year discount |
