How to get a hotel receipt for insurance purpose?
we need to get a hotel receipt for a 6 month non existant stay , how do i get 1

ascoile
Wherever you get one it will be checked out.
No insurance company would check out a receipt for a couple of days.
For the amount of money you are going to claim they would certainly check.
Then not only would your total claim be rejected but you would be blacklisted and in all probability charged with fraud.

Not going to happen. Hotels have to keep precise records of all stays and charges, no one will give you a receipt unless you actually pay them, otherwise it will ruin their accounting records. Making it even more unrealistic is that most hotels are now computerized so that employees are not able to change the records. Stop trying to scam the insurance company, it's called fraud.

I can only assume this is for the loss of use on a homeowner policy...
If you stayed with friends at their home instead of a hotel, and they charged you something for room and board, then you can get a written statement from them along with an itemization of how much you paid them for the 6 months you stayed.

If this is not the case, you might need to seek legal council if you have already been paid by the insurance company.

Other than that,

A reputable hotel isn't going to give you a receipt for a stay that didn't happen.

Chickie
No reputable hotel will commit insurance fraud with you, which is exactly what you're doing.

You think you're big and clever, do you, trying to rip people off?! Nobody is going to help you. It's people like you who cause premiums to rise for everyone else.

It's a well-settled rule now that if someone tries to exaggerate their claim, the insurance company can refuse to pay them anything at all. Also, you could well end up being prosecuted, as happened to a policyholder recently (see link below). You would also find it very difficult to get affordable insurance or credit in the future.
