Since their excuse seems to be lack of substantive records to authorize your claim, ask them what records they are waiting for and from whom. Then courteously call the tardy agency/hospital involved, explain that their delay is causing serious hardship, and inquire if there is any way you can speed these missing records to the insurer. |

As an adj I always hate getting records. It takes forever and they are often incomplete. I would call the adj and ask specifically what records you need then go get them yourself. Remember it is not the adj's fault the records are slow in coming in. |

You need to start calling the hospital. I've seen these guys take 3-4 months to send records out. Squeeky wheel gets the grease. You need to call EVERY DAY until it's easier/faster to have your records sent than it is to listen to you sob on the phone to them. I mean it. Esp. if it's a man, crying on the phone won't hurt. |

I work in insurance & have had clients with this type of problem. You should call the facility that the records were ordered from & personally request that they get them sent out. Sometimes, I think those places do not put enough priority on these types of things, so they need to be prompted a bit. Hope that helps! |
