you cannot just place a life policy on anyone, not sure what you are thinking of, you cant just go out and get a policy on your neighbor, there has to be an insurable interest
and the life insurance company cant just cancel your policy if you are sick or they think you will die, or no one would ever get paid, there is no way you are a consultant on this stuff, no freaking way |

One people that have something to lose if you were to die can take out a policy on you - such as your husband while you were married (common), your children (rare), and your creditors (rare). If your husband DID take a large policy on you, you would have to take a physical, submit blood sample etc. If the dollar amount were large, you would know about it.
If the two of you have children, he SHOULD have a policy on him and you SHOULD have a policy on him.
If you worry about his harming you, contact local authorities and your lawyer. Get a T.R.O. |

Any one can place a life insurance policy on anybody. It is not a fraud to place insurance on any one. It's like gambling. You can call local insurers and send or email letters and tell them all you have cancer or some other disease. This way they would probably cancel the policy because of the high probability that you may die sooner than later. This way they won't have to pay. Also you may also want to put a no contact order against him saying you fear for your safety and state in the request that you feel he has an insurance policy on you. This way it is on record and it will only cost you $28 |

You can't. There's no central database, and even if you KNEW he was doing it, they will only talk to the POLICY OWNER, which isn't you.
The best thing you can do, is put something in your will, or leave something with a trusted friend, that you have no life insurance, and if he tries to collect, it's fraud. Not that you can do much with THAT.
Maybe you can get ahold of old banking records, to see if he wrote out any checks to any insurance companies?? That's all you can do. Honest. |
